Summary/Objective

As a point of contact for existing and new customers, Inside Sales Support provides them with excellent customer service, understanding customer needs to build trust and loyalty, leading to repeat business and long-term relationships. The Inside Sales Support collaborates with the Account Managers to assist in managing complete sales activity from Lead to Cash.

Essential Functions

  1. Processing samples on time, considering throughput, delivery times, sample quantity, and costs, in collaboration with Sales colleagues.
  2. Preparing quotations, contracts, and price agreements quickly with Pricing, based on minimum order quantities, bulk prices, packaging charges, and payment/delivery conditions.
  3. Documenting processes in the company's internal IT systems.
  4. Updating customer master data regularly.
  5. Ensuring effective information exchange within the division and with interfaces.
  6. Using digital systems optimally and initiating process digitization improvements.
  7. Following up on customer complaints with Notification Management, collaborating with Sales and Quality, and communicating with customers to implement measures like credit notes.
  8. Promoting process and organizational standardization and optimization in consultation with the line manager.
  9. Supporting Sales and customers throughout the Lead-to-Order process, including Opportunity management and RFI requests.
  10. Fulfilling administrative tasks for Account Managers, including forecast updates.
  11. Managing overdues proactively to support cash flow, overdue payments, and dispute cases.

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office setting, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The employee must frequently talk, hear, stand, walk, handle objects, and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Hours

Long hours and weekend work are expected.

Travel

Up to 10% travel required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a background in business or technical fields is advantageous.
  • 2-5 years of sales operation experience.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with full responsibility for achieving business goals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the food & beverage market or chemical industry.
  • CRM experience, preferably with SAP Cloud.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems.
