Job summary

Mackay Marine in Seattle seeks an experienced Inside Sales Support Specialist to assist customers and team members with parts ordering and fulfillment.

You will handle shipping/receiving, assist in resolving basic technical issues, provide quotes, and look for revenue opportunities within the marine industry while working onsite at our Seattle location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years inventory control or stockroom experience.
• 3+ years sales experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret and solve problems using instructions, diagrams, or schedule forms.

Responsibilities

• Provides a point of contact for customer sales, service, and information requests, and ensures that customer needs are fulfilled with speed and professionalism
• Assist in the research of basic technical issues on product and service. Collect symptoms of customer problems and facilitate repairs
• Provide customer quotes and/or proposals quickly.
• Build the business by identifying revenue opportunities within the marine industry.
• Handle shipping and receiving functions to help facilitate the trafficking and accountability for all materials which are incoming and outgoing through the warehouse which are for customer orders, inventory, repairs or for internal use.
• Respond to requests from customers for information
• Ensure store, service area and stockroom are clean and orderly.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped using Mackay’s ERP system

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

3+ years inventory control/stockroom experience

3+ years sales experience

Inside Sales Support Specialist Job Overview

The Inside Sales Support Specialist will help other team members, customers and company accounts with parts ordering and fulfillment to support our business.

Responsibilities include material handling and shipping/receiving of goods which includes physical lifting, handling of boxes, pallet jacks and may include activities on ladders, lifts, carrying, and moving parts and equipment.
