Mackay Communications, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Parts Assistant for our National Parts Center (NPC) with the skills and qualifications below for our Edison, NJ location.

Parts Assistant Job Summary

The Parts Assistant is responsible for responding to inventory requests, preparing shipments and providing shipment details, transfer of inventory, handling incoming phone calls, emails and faxes.

Qualifications

• High School degree.
• 3+ years of prior inventory experience in distribution center or warehouse setting.
• International shipping and receiving experience a plus.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, and online shipping software such as UPS, FEDEX, and DHL.
• Knowledge of proper packaging methods and ability to interpret visual aids to convey specific packaging requirements.
• Strong organizational skills a must.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills and experience dealing with shippers, vendors, coworkers, and customers.
• Works well independently and with moderate supervision.
• Ability to lift heavy packages up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Will work in office and non-A/C warehouse.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation is required.
