Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Sales Support Engineer to join our Inside Sales Support team. You’ll collaborate with outside sales, application engineering, and design engineering to develop effective solutions using S&C products and services.

The role includes reviewing customer specifications, preparing price estimates, quotations, and sales orders, and supporting the order through design and production. Travel as required; hybrid work schedule with standard hours.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years' experience applying switchgear with customer interaction.
• Understanding of electromechanical products and communications equipment.
• Ability to discuss needs with senior team members and map to S&C solutions.
• Effective communication to present concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships.
• Self-motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Basic financial acumen for sales proposals.
• Proficient with Oracle and MS Office; knowledge of Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support to customers and outside sales.
• Leverage product knowledge to tailor S&C solutions.
• Prepare price estimates, quotations, and sales orders with other departments.
• Act as main contact for customers and sales teams; respond to queries.
• Participate in customer visits and acceptance testing.
• Contribute to process-improvement activities per LPS principles.
• Adhere to all company policies and rules.
