Job summary

Steel King Industries, Inc. seeks an Inside Sales 1 to support the sales team in Stevens Point. You will deliver quotes, assist with product designs and pricing, and ensure compliance with building codes and specifications.

You will review AutoCAD drawings, perform material takeoffs, and help manage custom-engineered orders while nurturing dealer relationships and coordinating with other departments to streamline sales processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering or sales or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work cooperatively in and amongst teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently when needed.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as RFPs, work instructions, and company policies.
• Timely and professional responses to phone and email inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Quotation Support: Work with Regional Sales Managers and dealers to gather all necessary project information for quotes.
• Quote Preparation & Follow-Up: Create detailed quotations for dealers and Regional Sales Managers and follow up on outstanding quotes as directed.
• Product Design & Pricing: Develop competitive product designs and pricing that align with customer needs and Steel King standards.
• Compliance & Design Specifications: Ensure Steel King products comply with applicable building codes and design specifications.
• Technical Support: Assist in reviewing AutoCAD drawings, completing material takeoffs, processing custom-engineered orders, and providing project management support.
• Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate relationships with assigned accounts to drive business growth.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounting, and other departments to streamline the sales process.
• Assist with Distributor Education: Support efforts to train distributors on Steel King product capabilities, procedures, and sales strategies.
• Additional Duties: Other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Inside Sales, Vice President of Sales, or the Executive Committee.
