Job summary

North American Stainless in Kentucky is seeking an Inside Sales professional to receive and process customer inquiries and orders, monitor order progress, and expedite priority shipments as needed. The role requires extended AS400 system knowledge and close collaboration with internal teams.

You will coordinate with planning, accounting and traffic, maintain pricing deviations, and strive to build customer loyalty through accurate, timely communication and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree preferred, or equivalent experience in customer service or inside sales.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Extended knowledge of AS400 systems and NAS products is vital.

Responsibilities

• Receive or solicit customer inquiries and orders via phone, mail or EDI.
• Monitor orders to anticipate delays and prevent errors.
• Maintain confidential price deviations issued by Outside Sales.
• Coordinate line priorities with planning to ensure prompt delivery.
• Develop knowledge of customer needs and maximize service efficiency.
• Interact with technical, accounting, and traffic teams to respond to questions.
• Travel to customer facilities or attend mill meetings as needed to build loyalty.
• Coordinate with planning to assure optimum lead times.
