Indy Equipment & Supply in Independence, OH is seeking an ambitious Inside/Counter Sales associate focused on customer service. You will handle sales calls, greet customers, take orders, and answer questions in a courteous, timely manner.

Responsibilities include processing quotes, will calls, backorders, and special orders while maintaining a well-organized showroom. Strong MS Word/Outlook/Excel skills and good communication are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to learn computer software and input orders in sales order databases.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of construction goods, equipment, and products.

Responsibilities

• Answering sales calls and greeting/assisting customers inside the store, taking orders and answering questions.
• Processing and monitoring will calls, special orders, backorders, fabrication orders, truck orders, drop ships, and quotes.
• Maintain store appearance, restock showroom, and ensure safe and orderly sales area.
• Maintain product knowledge and provide reliable information on specs, pricing, and availability.
• Other duties as assigned.
