Job summary

Ascendum-Machinery in West Columbia, SC, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support equipment sales and rental activities by responding to customer needs, sourcing equipment, preparing quotes, and coordinating the sales process.

This role partners closely with Account Managers to ensure CRM opportunities and quotes are complete and accurate, equipment and attachments are sourced, logistics are coordinated, and required agreements are processed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn company-specific systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and identify needs to support equipment sales and rental activities.
• Source equipment and coordinate availability to support customer and sales team requirements.
• Prepare quotes and assist with timely and accurate responses to customers.
• Process and manage sales and rental documentation and related transactions.
• Track equipment availability (rental, used, and other inventory) and support profitability goals.
• Develop and maintain leads, prospects, and customer follow-up processes.
• Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and share competitive information.
