Job summary

SSAB is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to service customers, manage orders, quotes, and pricing, and coordinate with internal teams. The role emphasizes customer focus, accuracy, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Required: 4 years in sales or customer service, associates degree in Business/Sales/Marketing or related field, and strong MS Office skills. On-site office environment with occasional overtime and limited travel.

Qualifications

Four (4) years of sales / customer service experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency working with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to multi-task with shifting priorities.
Strong organizational skills.
High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to develop and maintain strong professional interpersonal relationships with customers and peers.
Manufacturing / steel sales experience (preferred).
Associates degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field (required).
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

Assist Regional Sales Manager by communicating and/or providing customer forecast, special customer needs, order information, pricing, delivery, status, claims and market information.
Use SSAB’s automated sales system to manage accounts.
Plan and maintain inventory programs through interaction with customers and internal scheduling.
Conduct sales calls in conjunction with Regional Sales Manager.
Enter orders in electronic order entry system.
Field sales inquiries from customers.
Prepare and submit price quotations to customers.
Enter pricing exceptions & contractual pieces of business for approval.
