Job summary

SSAB is seeking a detail‑oriented Sales Support professional to assist the Regional Sales Manager with forecasts, orders, pricing and market information in an office setting.

You will enter orders, prepare price quotations, coordinate with shipping and other departments, maintain customer profiles and reports, and ensure timely communication and reliable attendance.

Associates degree required; manufacturing/steel sales experience preferred; travel limited; full-time, office-based position.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of sales / customer service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to multi-task with shifting priorities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong professional interpersonal relationships with customers and peers.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Sales Manager with forecasts, pricing, orders and market information.
• Use SSAB’s automated sales system to manage accounts.
• Plan and maintain inventory programs through interaction with customers and internal scheduling.
• Enter all pricing exceptions & contractual pieces of business in electronic system for approval.
• Report order status to customers and expedite orders when necessary.
• Prepare and submit weekly highlight reports and maintain customer profiles.
