Job Overview
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for selling the Twiist portfolio of products to customers using a consultative approach. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide the best possible customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strong sales results and accomplishments, excellent business acumen, and the ability to quickly learn complex technical material, particularly in healthcare or diabetes. They must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and excel at collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders in a cross-functional role. This position involves frequent customer interaction to ensure a positive and professional experience, focusing on gaining customer buy-in for Sequel's product portfolio.
The Senior Inside Sales Specialist will additionally provide coaching feedback to new hires after their initial training, act as first-line escalation support for the department, mentor new Inside Sales Specialists, and participate in special projects as needed.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Sales and Promotion: Promote and sell Sequel’s product portfolio, including the Twiist device, to meet or exceed sales goals within the assigned territory.
- Field Sales Support: Collaborate with Territory Business Leaders and Clinical Diabetes Specialists to drive new customer starts.
- Outbound Sales Calls: Make outbound calls to interested customers, explaining product benefits and competitive advantages.
- Inbound Call Management: Handle incoming customer inquiries, providing product and service information.
- Customer Needs Assessment: Understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Benefits Communication: Explain the benefits of Sequel’s products and pharmacy benefits.
- Customer Journey Management: Manage customer communication throughout their product journey to ensure a positive experience.
- Salesforce Documentation: Accurately document all interactions and data in Salesforce.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends and competitive products.
- Coordination: Work with the field team, healthcare providers, and customers for effective onboarding.
- Feedback and Improvement: Provide insights to improve sales processes and customer experience.
The Senior Inside Sales Specialist will also:
- Transitions Coach: Observe and coach new hires post-training.
- Escalation Resolution: Serve as first-line support for escalations.
- Mentorship: Support onboarding of new team members.
- Special Projects: Contribute to and provide feedback on special initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of successful sales experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related fields.
For the Senior Inside Sales Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in relevant fields
- Proven career growth and ability to handle special projects
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in medical or health-related sales preferred
- Knowledge of diabetes and supporting customers with diabetes preferred
- Experience supporting pharmacy channel customers preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; fluency in English required
- Experience with remote support in regulated environments preferred
- Salesforce CRM experience preferred
- Prior B2B or B2C sales experience preferred
- Persistence and creative problem-solving skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive interactions appropriately
- Self-management and action-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and operate with urgency
- Capable of managing multiple challenges through prioritization
- This role is remote, with occasional travel to Manchester, NH.
