Job summary

Summit Electric Supply in Irving, TX is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist customers by phone, internet, email or in person and to work closely with the Service Center sales staff to ensure a high level of customer service.

You will thoroughly understand product capabilities, develop new and existing relationships, assist with orders and quotations, and help negotiate pricing with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Time management to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to change.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand product capabilities, features, and benefits; Summit’s warranties and services.
• Develop new and existing customer relationships by providing Summit solutions and products.
• Assist customers over the phone or via internet with orders, quotations, and product questions.
• Negotiate profitable pricing with customers and suppliers.
• Proactively follow up on customer orders, challenges, and needs.
• Resolve customer concerns and issues efficiently and effectively.
• Assist counter and warehouse staff as needed.
