What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers by phone, email, and in person at the local branch showroom, researching and placing orders for building materials products
- Stay informed about products, changes, and trends within woodworking, kitchen & bath design, and cabinet making
- Seek out new business opportunities through customer interactions via phone, placing orders, and providing sales quotes
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives on customer orders and quotes, researching pricing and availability across multiple product categories
- Maintain and uphold the employer's Five Core Values while striving to achieve and surpass sales objectives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Motivated, customer-focused individual with a commitment to providing top-quality customer experiences
- Prior inside sales or customer service experience, ideally in an office-based setting
- Knowledge of woodworking, cabinetry, kitchen/bath design, or related building materials experience
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Inside telesales experience in the industrial market
- Familiarity with AS400 database software
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and coworkers
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a persuasive communication style
- Experience with architectural hardware or related product knowledge
