Paychex is seeking an HCM Inside Sales Representative to own the end‑to‑end sales cycle for mid‑market clients (10–49 employees). This role is based in our sales hub and requires in‑person work 5 days a week, engaging prospects by phone, email, and virtual channels to close deals and hit targets.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of inside sales experience, a H.S. diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), and familiarity with Salesforce and CRM tools.

Overview

HCM Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) are inside account and quota owners. ISRs are responsible for prospecting, owning the end‑to‑end sales cycle, and closing business remotely from our HCM Inside Sales Hub. They engage with prospects via phone, email, or other virtual channels to effectively close deals and meet sales targets. This role exclusively sells HCM products in the mid‑market (10–49 employee segment). Work in‑person at the sales hub 5x per week.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the end‑to‑end sales cycle from prospecting, qualifying, demonstrating, and closing business to achieve quota.
• Engage in outbound prospecting to identify and qualify potential clients and referral sources using various methods such as cold calls, direct mail, emails, video calls, social media outreach, seminars, demonstrations, and other marketing initiatives guided by Sales management. This process also involves following up on leads to assess opportunities and build a robust pipeline.
• Present Paychex products and services to final decision‑makers and end users within the prospect universe.
• Evaluate customer needs and interests, identify suitable products, and direct inquiries to the appropriate party when necessary.
• Complete and submit accurate new business paperwork and activity reports by agreed‑upon dates set by sales management.
• Use technology tools to track activities and forecasts.
• Continually develop knowledge of technical, competitive, and sales skills to represent the HCM sales organization. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of sales forecasting and the foundational principles of Paychex and Human Capital Management (HCM).
• Project a positive image in representing Paychex to clients and the community.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the compensation range for this position is typically between $55,000 - $110,000. This range includes base pay plus commissions but does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
