Overview
Safeguard Medical is seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative Distribution Sales to join our high-performing team. This role is responsible for managing relationships with distribution partners as well as driving demand with end user customers. The Inside Sales Representative will focus on driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a seamless sales experience in conjunction with the Outside Sales Representative in their territory.
Roles and Responsibilities
As the Inside Sales Representative Distribution Sales, you will:
- Account Management and Distribution Partner Support
- Work in conjunction with your Outside Sales Representative to drive demand with end user customers by informing them of the value of the Safeguard product offering; and working with our distribution partners to execute sales within the territory.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for distribution partners, ensuring strong, long-term relationships.
- Provide ongoing support to distribution partners, helping them achieve sales goals through training, product education, and tailored solutions.
- Partner with distributors to develop joint business plans and execute strategies for mutual success.
- Respond promptly to distributor inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
2. Sales and Revenue Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned distribution accounts.
- Drive sales growth through up-selling and cross-selling Safeguard Medical’s portfolio of products.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, and customer service) to support distributor sales efforts.
3. Lead Generation and Prospecting
- Research, develop, and qualify leads to expand the distribution network.
- Proactively reach out to new and existing distributors via phone, email, and virtual meetings to identify opportunities for growth.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up on all leads.
4. Reporting and CRM Management
- Track and manage sales activities.
- Generate and submit weekly sales reports, including updates on sales performance, key accounts, and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of distributor interactions, agreements, and sales progress.
5. Product Expertise and Representation
- Develop a deep understanding of Safeguard Medical’s products, services, and industry trends.
- Represent Safeguard Medical at trade shows, conferences, and events to promote products and build relationships with distributors.
- Stay updated on competitive products, market conditions, and customer needs to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (required).
- 3-5 years of experience in inside sales, distribution sales, or account management.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a B2B environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, customer relationship management, and distribution channels.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop strategies for growth.
- Familiarity with the medical, healthcare, or emergency response industries is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in inside sales, distribution sales, or account management, with a strong ability to identify opportunities, nurture relationships, and meet or exceed sales targets.
