Job summary

ABC Supply Co. Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to assist customers in selecting exterior and interior building products for roofing, remodeling, and related projects.

You will determine customer needs, process orders, upsell products, and coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely, accurate fulfillment. The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and a service-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of roofing, siding and windows products is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Good time management and prioritization abilities are essential.
• Basic computer skills (ERP/CRM optional) are expected.
• Positive attitude, team player mindset, and customer-service focus are important.
• Spanish/English bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers’ needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Follow product/supply checklists and upsell additional items.
• Answer phones and enter sales orders accurately.
• Accept payments and post to customer accounts.
• Coordinate customer pickups with the warehouse.
• Follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time arrival and accuracy.
• Restock products and maintain organized shelves.
• Address and resolve service concerns as they arise.

Specific Duties May Include

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Specific Qualifications Include

• 1-2 years’ experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented
• Bilingual speaking in Spanish/English is preferred
