Job summary

ABC Supply Co. is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to help customers select roofing, siding, and window products and to complete sales orders.

You will determine customers’ needs, answer questions, and coordinate deliveries and pickups, while maintaining accurate accounts and providing outstanding service in a fast-paced warehouse and showroom environment. Qualifications include 1–2 years in roofing-related sales, strong communication, time management, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in roofing, siding, and windows is required (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented

Responsibilities

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise
