Job summary

Flow-Control-Group is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support clients, recommend solutions, generate quotes and manage orders from entry to shipment. The role blends purchasing with the inside sales team and is ideal for a results-driven professional with growth aspirations.

Position is full-time, on-site in Jacksonville, FL, with no remote work. Experience in distribution/manufacturing and purchasing/expediting is preferred, with strong organizational and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
• Background in purchasing and/or expediting is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, attention-to-detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers.
• Follow up on orders to ensure critical deliveries.
• Develop purchasing and expediting strategies to improve order tracking.
• Oversee the preparation of orders for vendors.
• Identify orders in systems without vendors purchase orders.
• Oversee pricing and processing orders, including vendor cost inquiries.
• Help solve customer delivery challenges and supply chain issues.
• Manage an established customer base – strategic accounts.
• Partner with sales representatives to manage customer inventory levels.
• Manage customer portals for order tracking.
• Request and keep required documentation for orders to meet requirements.

This role combines purchasing responsibilities with the inside sales team, making it ideal for a results-driven professional with growth aspirations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers.
• Follow up on orders to ensure critical deliveries.
• Develop purchasing and expediting strategies to improve tracking overall orders.
• Oversee the preparation of orders for vendors.
• Identify orders in systems without vendors purchase orders.
• Oversee pricing and processing orders, including inquiring costs with vendors.
• Help solve customer delivery challenges and supply chain management.
• Serve as the primary source to process and maintain visibility of material returns to vendors due to shipping issues, etc.
• Manage an established customer base- strategic account.
• Partner with appropriate sales representatives to manage customer inventory levels.
• Manage customer portals associated with the tracking of orders.
• Request and keep required documentation for orders to meet specific requirements.

Experience

• Professionally related work experience in distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Background in purchasing and/or expediting a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, attention-to-detail and time-management skills.
• Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
• Education: Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a similar / like industry.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Full-time position.
• Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, including one-hour lunch.
• Remote work is not available. Position is based in Jacksonville, FL.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Knowledge of / proficiency in Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
