For more than 25 years, Hardin Power Group has been the Southwest's most trusted, single-source partner for the full lifecycle of electrical equipment - recovery, dismantling, resale, rental, rigging, demolition, recycling, and scrap metal solutions.
We work with electrical and general contractors and the facilities they serve - data centers, industrial plants, hospitals, and commercial properties - to help clients unlock maximum value while keeping projects on schedule. Where most facilities juggle five or more vendors, our clients make one call. One point of contact. One scope of work. Nothing left behind on the floor or in the budget.
Our Mission
To support people - customers, employees, and their families - by providing value through simple and timely solutions that address every challenge related to electrical equipment and recycling. We solve critical problems with a comprehensive approach, ensuring no issue is too complex or too small. We build strong relationships grounded in clear communication, trust, and safety - resolving immediate concerns while contributing to long-term success and sustainability for all.
Our Core Values
- Keep Improving: We do our jobs well, and we keep getting better
- Bring Solutions: We look for ways to get things done
- Own the Job: We take responsibility for our work, help our coworkers when they need it, and do what's best for the company
- Move with Purpose: We keep projects moving forward while checking our work and following the process
- Do the Right Thing: We are honest and transparent with our customers and coworkers
- Work Safe: Nobody gets hurt, nothing gets damaged, no exceptions
About the Role
We're hiring an Inside Sales Representative to be the operational engine behind our outside sales team, and the first voice many of our customers hear when they call Hardin. You'll handle inbound inquiries, build and send accurate quotes, support outside reps with the back-end work that closes deals, and proactively follow up on open opportunities to keep our pipeline moving. This role is ideal for someone who knows the world of surplus electrical equipment and enjoys solving problems quickly and accurately.
What You'll Do
- Field inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries from contractors, plant maintenance teams, facility engineers, and procurement, and convert them into closed orders
- Read and interpret electrical equipment specs, nameplates, and one-line diagrams to scope customer needs and prepare timely, accurate quotes on circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, panelboards, bus plugs, and related gear
- Cross-sell Hardin Power Group's full service line where it fits (rentals, decommissioning, rigging, demolition, recycling, and scrap recovery) so customers experience the "one call" advantage
- Serve as the inside partner for outside sales reps by pulling specs, building quotes, chasing submittals, and coordinating ship dates, owning the back-end execution so reps can stay focused on customer-facing time
- Pass qualified leads, decision-maker intel, and larger or strategic opportunities to the appropriate outside rep
- Follow up on open quotes to keep deals from going cold
- Help intake and triage incoming surplus equipment leads (plant shutdowns, site upgrades, overstock, contractor jobsite pulls) and coordinate with the buying team on documentation, photos, and basic valuation inputs
- Maintain regular contact with customers from quote to delivery, coordinating with operations, rigging, warehouse, and recycling teams to confirm specs, ship dates, and on-site requirements
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and escalate appropriately, with every interaction reflecting Hardin's commitment to clarity, accountability, and trust
- Keep customer, quote, order, and inventory records accurate, current, and complete as equipment moves through the lifecycle
- Produce weekly pipeline, quote-activity, and lead-tracking updates for sales leadership and the outside sales team
