Location: Carson, CA - Retail shop

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Counter Sales Representative is responsible for selling welding equipment, hard goods, power tools, safety supplies, and industrial gases to customers. The Inside Sales Representative provides excellent assistance to customers in selecting the appropriate gauges and tools.

Target Hourly Range: $19 - $24 (DOE)

1. Maintain high customer service levels by assisting with will call, counter, and telephone sales
2. Analyze and expedite customer orders promptly, recommending suitable products and services
3. Enter sales data, quotes, and relevant information into the inventory control system
4. Assist in ordering merchandise to keep stock levels adequate
5. Restock merchandise and update store displays and pricing
6. Expand the customer base across all product lines
7. Deliver effective sales presentations and proposals to prospects
8. Monitor market activities, including pricing, products, and delivery schedules
9. Handle customer inquiries related to billing, cylinder balances, order status, and delivery
10. Perform other duties as assigned

Are you a MATCH?

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Two-year degree preferred
• At least two years of customer service and/or sales experience
• Knowledge of welding, gases, industrial, and safety supplies preferred
• Strong customer relationship and service practices
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Team-oriented with a mindset for continuous improvement
• Proficient in basic math and inventory systems; SAP knowledge is preferred
• Flexible to work overtime and on-call as needed
