Summary

Please note that while this role will operate remotely, it is required that the candidate resides in the Western Region of the United States. This includes candidates in Pacific Time, Mountain Time, and Arizona Time Zones. At this time, we are not considering candidates in the Bay Area.

Yelp was created to connect people with great local businesses. As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you'll work directly with these local businesses to help them achieve their goals through Yelp’s advertising programs. You'll communicate with small business owners via phone to understand their needs and tailor each sale to help them succeed. Our success is measured by our clients' growth.

What You'll Do

  1. Educate, strategize, and successfully sell Yelp advertising programs through high-volume outbound calls — this role is 100% phone-based.
  2. Reach as many businesses as possible. Work one of the following schedules (in your local time), or as determined by your manager: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  3. Manage a pipeline of clients across various industries, organized in our CRM (Salesforce).
  4. Work remotely from home, selling advertising to local businesses on a set Monday to Friday schedule.
  5. Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions, quickly adapting product recommendations to client needs, asking probing questions, and overcoming objections.
  6. Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals through strong work ethic and persistence.
  7. Stay organized and manage your time effectively to meet daily goals, understanding that sales is a numbers game.

What It Takes To Succeed

  1. GED/HS Diploma with 2+ years of customer-facing experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. No fear of making phone calls.
  3. Proficiency with computers and email — we use Google Suite and provide a MacBook laptop.
  4. A distraction-free work environment.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently without oversight.
  6. Current US work authorization.

What You'll Get

  1. First-year earnings range from $50k-$65k annually, combining base salary and uncapped commissions.
  2. Year 2 on-target earnings are around $70k, with top performers earning approximately $112k.
  3. Starting base salary of $37k plus uncapped commissions.

  5. 15 days PTO per year for the first 2 years, increasing thereafter, plus wellness days, holidays, and a floating holiday.
  6. Up to 14 weeks of parental leave.
