Job summary

Wurth Wood Group in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support our customer base and outside sales team. You will maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts while delivering excellent service to walk-in and inbound customers.

This onsite role offers a base rate of $19.50/hour with commissions, totaling roughly $55k–$65k annually, and provides health benefits and a path for career growth within a stable, well-established woodworking distributor.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years Inside Sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle high-volume customer interactions.
• Team-oriented, dependable and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 1,000 active customer accounts (millwork, cabinetmakers, woodworking companies).
• 80% focus on farming existing business; 20% on acquiring new customers.
• Staff the sales counter and serve as first point of contact for walk-in customers.
• Handle inbound calls, emails, and texts; support Outside Sales Reps.
• Collaborate with branch team to provide product knowledge and order fulfillment.
• Deliver outstanding customer service reflecting the company’s reputation.
