Job summary

Purvis Industries, a family-owned industrial distributor with over 75 years of experience, seeks an Inside Sales Associate to grow sales and support customers from our Des Moines branch. You will assist with counter sales, process inquiries, and help outside sales by preparing quotes and orders.

Responsibilities include entering orders, maintaining documentation, stocking products, and promoting value-driven sales while collaborating with branch teams to meet objectives and ensure exceptional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in inside sales, customer service, industrial distribution, warehouse, or related area preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with counter sales and customer service activities as needed.
• Process inquiries received by phone, email, mail, or online platforms.
• Support outside sales by preparing quotations, bids, and customer orders.
• Enter and maintain customer orders, quotes, bids, and related sales documentation.
• Purchase products necessary to fulfill customer orders.
• Quote and sell products that provide value while supporting profitability.
• Identify, contact, quote, and close sales opportunities with customers.
• Utilize catalogs to provide product, pricing, and availability information.
• Resolve customer concerns or coordinate with management for support.
• Increase sales through cross selling, up selling, and promotional offerings.
