Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to drive branch revenue by renting and selling equipment, building relationships, and delivering exceptional service. You will support telemarketing, customer calls, and day-to-day branch operations while educating customers and coordinating equipment logistics.

The role emphasizes strong customer service and sales abilities, MS Office proficiency, and the capacity to size and quote large projects.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and sales skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word & Excel) and clear written/verbal communication.
• Engineering aptitude for sizing, quoting, installation, and large projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of rental business for specialty products and services.
• Develop new rental and sales accounts via telemarketing and call-ins.
• Process quotations, reservations, contracts and invoices per policy.
• Educate customers on proper equipment usage and safety.
• Ensure accuracy of contract data in the system.
• Coordinate daily equipment pickups and returns.
• Run reports to monitor equipment and operations.
• Collaborate with branch staff to deliver customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
