Job summary

TAL Building Centers is a family-owned company based in Vancouver, Washington, and operates building centers across the Pacific Northwest. We are seeking an outside sales professional to drive transaction growth for assigned accounts and prospect new customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of High School or equivalent.
• 5+ years selling experience in building materials.
• Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and MS Office/POS tools.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for transaction growth for assigned accounts.
• Manage the sales process end-to-end from prospecting to closing.
• Develop potential customers and present tailored solutions.
• Build relationships with existing customers and address needs.
• Observe job sites to determine material requirements.
• Prepare quotes, purchase orders, invoices per guidelines.
• Achieve gross margin goals on all sales.
• Coordinate with yard, store and office for order execution.
• Handle special orders and assist credit department.
