Job summary

R.P. Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Bloomington, IL showroom. You will help contractors and homeowners select materials, prepare accurate quotes, and process orders while keeping the sales floor organized and presentable.

You will quote and sell in person, by phone, and by email, run the register, and support merchandising and special orders. This is an on-site, full-time role reporting to the Retail Manager with benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clear communication with customers and contractors.
• Comfort with computers and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to learn BisTrack and related software.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and contractors with product selection, pricing, quotes, orders, deliveries, and installations.
• Follow up on orders and resolve issues; involve Retail Manager when needed.
• Build relationships with walk-in and contractor customers.
• Support Outside Sales with order questions and pricing.
• Learn estimating and material takeoffs.
• Maintain showroom, inventory, and safety.
