Job summary

Torrco in Bristol, CT is seeking a motivated counter sales professional to support trade customers, contractors and retail clients at the busy counter. You will provide product information, quote pricing, enter orders and coordinate with purchasing, shipping and billing to ensure on-time delivery.

With 1–3 years of sales or customer service experience and knowledge of plumbing/HVAC products, you will excel in a fast-paced environment and help drive sales while delivering exceptional customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of sales or customer service experience in wholesale or construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing/HVAC products a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS software (Eclipse/Eterm) desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the counter, on the phone or via email with product information and solutions.
• Enter customer orders accurately into the system with correct products and quantities.
• Handle inquiries about pricing, availability, delivery, and order status.
• Pull and set up orders for delivery or pickup as needed.
• Develop in-depth product knowledge and stay current on line changes and improvements.
• Collaborate with sales team on account planning to grow the customer base.
• Follow up on orders and resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Coordinate with purchasing, shipping, credit and billing teams.
