Job summary

Core & Main is seeking an Inside Sales Support professional to facilitate the sales process, manage customer orders and respond to quotes across multiple channels. You will coordinate pricing from the pricing matrix, maintain inventory levels, and ensure timely shipments while supporting both inside and outside sales teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in inside sales, experience with inventory sales, and strong computer skills; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of inside sales experience with customers
• Experience with inventory sales and order systems
• Associate degree preferred
• Strong computer skills
• Forklift certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, issue resolution and customer service support.
• Prospects for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.
• Provides product pricing by consulting the pricing matrix and other tables to determine the price and maintain margins.
• Procures and maintains inventory; monitors to ensure proper inventory turns.
• Ensures timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
• Works at the sales counter to serve in-store customers and handles inquiries and proposals.
• Performs estimating, take-off and proposal duties as necessary.
• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and packing orders.
