Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Inside Sales Representative / Material Coordinator to deliver exceptional customer service and sales support while coordinating inventory and warehouse operations. You will liaise with customers, vendors, Account Managers, and operations to ensure timely order fulfillment and satisfaction.

The role blends inside sales with material coordination, supporting branch operations, inventory accuracy, and customer relationships.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred: experience in customer service, inside sales, warehouse, inventory, or branch operations.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience using ERP or order management systems preferred.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

Receive and process customer orders via phone, email, customer portals, and walk-in inquiries.
Provide order status updates, pricing information, and product availability.
Prepare and process quotations.
Assist customers with product selection and technical recommendations.
Process returns, credits, and exchanges.
Partner with Account Managers to support customer accounts and sales growth.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors.
Resolve customer concerns and escalated issues when appropriate.
