Job summary

STEELSUMMIT HOLDINGS INC in La Vergne, TN is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to act as the primary liaison between customers and the sales team. You’ll manage orders, maintain ongoing communication, and build strong customer relationships.

The role requires accurate data handling, familiarity with Excel, and the ability to coordinate with production and material handling. This on-site position operates 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional peaks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience; 6 mos - 2 years of sales and/or steel experience preferred.
• Excel proficiency required.
• Detail and number-oriented industry.
• Word experience a plus.
• Data management a plus.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for assigned customers.
• Maintain a daily and constant line of communication with the customer base; update customers with information.
• Scrutinize incoming POs and enter orders into the system.
• Coordinate customer due dates and production capabilities with Production and Material Handling.
• Notify Materials Manager and Production Planning of changes in order quantities and due dates.
• Generate and distribute change of specification forms per QA procedures.
