Job summary

Four Corners Building Supply is seeking a friendly counter sales associate to provide outstanding service to walk-in customers and visitors. You will answer phones professionally, take purchase orders, and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of counter sales experience in lumber or a similar environment, a high school diploma or GED, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of counter sales experience in lumber yard or similar.
• Proven ability to provide consistent, professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for walk-in visitors and customers.
• Promptly answer phones in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Manage counter activities: inbound calls and follow-ups with customers by phone as needed.
• Take purchase orders by phone, in-person, or email and enter them into the system.
• Assist in inventory management in the showroom.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to provide timely service to customers.
• Forward new opportunities to the sales team for development and closing.
• Use a forklift to assist customers with loading/unloading their trucks when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of walk-in customers and visitors.

Preferred qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1-3 years of counter sales experience with a lumber yard or similar business
• Proven ability to provide consistent, professional customer service.
