Job summary

SPEC Building Materials Corporation is a leading wholesale distributor of building materials for commercial and residential roofing contractors. The Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate team handles orders, pricing, delivery coordination, and frontline customer support from our Houston location.

We seek an energetic individual with a GED, strong math and computer skills, and excellent communication to drive sales and service. This is a full-time, day-shift in-person role with benefits.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Proficiency with computers and software.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Solid math skills and high energy with a desire to succeed.
• Past experience in a building materials-related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell building materials from the customer service counter.
• Grow existing customer base through prospecting and follow-up.
• Source special order items for contractors.
• Ensure all orders are complete and accurate.
• Advise customers on inventory levels and pricing.
• Process cash application and reporting.
• Answer phones and schedule deliveries.
