Job summary

SPEC Building Materials Corporation is a leading wholesale distributor of high-quality building materials and products for commercial and residential roofing contractors. The Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate team handles order placement, pricing, delivery coordination, and more, serving as the customer’s first point of contact.

This in-person, full-time role requires strong math, multitasking, and communication skills, with opportunities for bonus and benefits such as health and 401(k)

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Past history in a building materials-related industry.
• Strong math skills.
• High energy level and a desire to succeed.
• Working knowledge of computers and software.

Responsibilities

• Sell building materials to customers from the customer service counter.
• Maintain and grow existing customer base through prospecting, sales, quoting, and follow-up.
• Source special order items for contractors.
• Ensure all customer sales orders are complete and accurate.
• Advise customers on inventory levels and pricing.
• Cash application and reporting.
