Inside Sales Associate / Backup Local Delivery Driver (CDL B)

Position Overview

This role involves selling medical, industrial, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and hard goods. You will respond to customer inquiries, process orders, and deliver products using a 20-ton truck, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist walk-in and phone-in customers with product identification and sales.
2. Complete and file sales paperwork accurately and promptly.
3. Input sales data and research customer information using computer systems.
4. Handle payments and assist customers with loading merchandise.
5. Support warehouse activities, including stocking and organizing merchandise.
6. Follow safety procedures during cylinder handling and transportation.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the showroom and inventory.
8. Keep product knowledge up-to-date and support other assigned duties.

Additional Responsibilities

• Safely load, deliver, and unload products, including cylinders and hard goods.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting issues and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of product, warehouse, or sales experience.
• Strong industry knowledge in gases, welding, and safety supplies.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG, STICK) is a plus.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement or ability to obtain it.
• Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or certification from a driving school.
