Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Salinas seeks an Inside Sales and Customer Service representative to support contractors and manufacturers, handling orders and delivering solutions with a customer-first approach.

Experience in the electrical field is a plus; attitude and growth mindset matter most. The role reports to the Profit Center Manager and involves office and warehouse work with some lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Two years in electrical industry or related field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Familiarity with computers and Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to new and existing customers via phone, email, and in person.
• Accurately document and manage customer orders per sales policies.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and vendors.
• Pursue monthly sales goals and collaborate with other departments.
• Follow up on quotes, orders, and materials in a timely manner.
• Stay current on new products and services offered by the company.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and service quality.
• Support other sales staff as needed.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $27 to $38 hourly.
