Job summary

PSS Industrial Group is seeking a customer-focused sales professional in our Houston area to generate quotes and proposals from customer requests. You will support counter sales, assist customers with products and services, and coordinate shipping to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include following up on quotes, negotiating as needed, closing transactions, and maintaining strong relationships with established and new customers. Somebranch support and material pickup duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of business to business industrial sales experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Infor SXe is a plus.
• A strong sense of urgency and commitment to timely service.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

• Provides counter sales support and assists customers with products and services as needed.
• Follows up on quotes and proposals, negotiates as needed and closes transactions.
• Coordinates shipping, material information requirements for products and any other incidental involved in getting the right product to the customer at the right time.
• Enters orders in company’s ERP system based on established rules and practices.
• Maintains working business relationships with established and new customers.
• Works with Outside Sales Team and provides feedback and communication regarding accounts.
• (Small Branches) – Will assist as needed in the delivery of customer orders as well as pick up of materials.

Skills & Qualifications
