Job summary

Complete Logistical Services is seeking an Inside Machinist III to support the manufacture of submarine components in a low-volume, build-to-print environment. The role emphasizes CNC programming, setup, precision machining, and first-article validation to meet tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

The ideal candidate will interpret blueprints with GD&T, perform advanced CNC and manual machining, and document measurements to ensure first-time quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience machining complex submarine, aerospace, defense, nuclear, or similarly critical components.
• Proficiency in programming, reviewing, or editing CNC programs for lathe and mill operations.
• Ability to perform advanced setups, optimize tool paths, and read blueprints with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and optimize CNC programs for lathe and mill operations using G-code and CAM platforms.
• Set up, align, and secure workpieces, fixtures, and tooling on CNC and manual machines to meet print requirements.
• Perform first-article runs and validate programs to confirm dimensional accuracy and repeatability.
• Operate and support machining equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, saws, and related shop machinery.
• Machine complex components using submarine-grade and advanced materials (HY-80, HY-100, stainless steel, Inconel).
• Select speeds, feeds, tooling, and cutting methods to achieve tolerances and surface finishes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T to plan machining work.
• Inspect, measure, and verify features using precision metrology tools and record data.
