Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Connecticut is seeking skilled machinists for our Inside Machinist Department to help build advanced submarines. You will set up and machine components on both manual and CNC equipment, maintaining tight tolerances and quality while logging results and ensuring safe operation.

The role requires reading blueprints, applying GD&T, and using precision measuring tools; experience across CNC setups and programs is valued.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED or 2+ years relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years of experience with CNC Machining, set-up, Programming, or Operating Machines.
• Must be able to work all shifts.
• Must know how to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Setup and machining of components on manual and CNC lathes, mills, Horizontal Boring machines, multi axis machining centers, wire EDM etc.
• Precision measurement of part dimensions.
• Completion of hardcopy and electronic documentation.
• Work with little to no supervisory experience.
