Position SummarySupports the cabinet sales department by receiving and processing transactions and providing customer service.Position Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConfer with customers by phone/in person/electronically and provide services on products or services that will meet customer’s needs. Takes and cancels orders, provides unit pricing, shipping dates, delays, receive and responds to complaints.Contacts supplier for product information to enter orders, job starts into sales database and verifies its accuracy by reconciling purchase orders/job starts, etc. Checks inventory and its availability and notifies departments when items are low.Determines charges for services or merchandise requests. Collects deposits or payments, or arranges billing.Process returns, exchanges, quotes, sales/purchase and work orders, credit notes, contracts, stock receipts, account payments and stock transfers, compares merchandise with original requisitions and information from invoices, and prepares invoices for retuned goods.Coordinates jobsite deliveries and/or confers with all contributing departments to expedite or trace shipments and timely follows up with transfer orders, project quotes and estimates.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned within Millard Lumbers facilities/staff.Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma , GED or Associate degree requiredPrevious experience with building materials and related items preferred20/20 cabinet design software knowledge preferredExperience with computers, emails, cash register and other office machines (fax, printers and copiers)Other RequirementsMust Pass pre-employment drug screen and physicalWork morning/evening hours during the week, required weekends and overtimeMaintenance of regular attendanceKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of company products sufficient to look up/reference parts, products or componentsExcellent Verbal & Written Communication along with basic data entry/keyboard skills.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs and meeting quality standards for services.Ability to concentrate and attend to detail amidst busy work environmentAbility to work as an individual and as a team to meet productions goals.Willing to obtain other training if deemed necessary in performance of responsibilities and continuing education.Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsNormal office conditions apply. Employee must have clear, close vision for reading and computer work. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, balance, stoop, grasp, talk, hear, and operate computer keyboard. Will occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
