Job summary

ATI is seeking a dependable manufacturing inspector to ensure material quality and conformity through inspection, marking, and grinding processes at our Monroe, NC facility. You will read and follow written procedures, pass a vision screening, and exercise sound judgement to identify defects while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass In-dept vision screening.
• Requires the use of some judgement to inspect and mark defects.
• Be able to read and follow written procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect material, mark defects and flaws for grinding and remove defects with hand grinder if required.
• Weighs, band, mark, stamp, tag and identify material after re-grinding.
• Check dimensions and surface quality to meet customers' requirements.
• Ensure compliance with established grinding techniques.
• Detect and report defective material and improper operations and unusual condition to proper supervision.
• Comply with prescribed safety regulations and keep area clean.
• Perform other duties as required or directed by work leader or supervisor.
