Job summary

Huntington Learning Center is seeking an experienced Algebra 1 Instructor to provide small-group instruction at a local high school in Chester County, SC. The instructor will work with small groups of students in a 4:1 or 5:1 student-to-instructor setting, delivering instruction aligned with the school's curriculum and syllabus.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Education or math-related field preferred) and prior teaching Algebra 1 experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Education or math-related field preferred).
• Prior experience teaching Algebra 1 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Algebra 1 concepts and instructional strategies.
• Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and engage high school students.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• A passion for helping students improve their skills and confidence in math.
• Must be reliable and able to work 8am-3:30pm, 5 days a week, 4-6 hours per day (follows Chester County School calendar).
