Job summary

GRMC Garrett Regional Medical Center is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in an inpatient setting under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Ideal candidates hold an active LPN license and BLS certification, with the ability to obtain within 30 days if needed.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the state or eNLC.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• State and Federal background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in inpatient setting as per plan of care.
• Assist physicians and oversee with examinations and procedures as assigned.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Administer medications as directed (IM, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulization, MDI).
• Observe and report patient status and changes to the supervising RN.
