Job summary

Wheeling Hospital in West Virginia is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide direct inpatient care under physician oversight.

The role performs nursing duties, administers medications, documents care, and coordinates with rehab and other disciplines to support patient recovery. Candidates must hold an LPN license, obtain BLS within 30 days, and be able to work weekends and all shifts.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license valid in state or multi-state via eNLC.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Background checks (state and federal if applicable) as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per plan of care and assist supervisors with exams.
• Observe, document and report patient status and changes promptly.
• Administer IM, subcutaneous, IV, oral meds and therapies as assigned.
• Coordinate with rehab and other disciplines for patient care.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately.
• Lead LTC unit duties and supervise CNAs; manage time and priorities.
