Job summary

GRMC Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Maryland, seeks a Registered Nurse/LPN for Med Surg to provide direct patient care and support the physician and healthcare team.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, assisting with exams, educating patients and families, and contributing to the plan of care. Must have LPN license or multi-state licensure, BLS within 30 days, and pass background checks; one year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state or eNLC multi-state license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Background checks as required for regulated areas.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per the plan of care and guidance from the RN or physician.
• Assist with examinations and procedures as assigned.
• Record and report patient concerns, symptoms, and progress promptly.
• Assist in care planning and family education with the care team.
• Document nursing interventions and responses to care.
• Administer medications via IM, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulization or MDI as assigned.
• Support adherence to specialty accreditation education requirements.
