Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Wound Care/Ostomy Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Wound Team in Hartford, CT. You will provide direct care for patients with acute wounds, ostomy needs, and continence issues, applying the nursing process and educating patients and families. This full-time role requires a BSN, weekend coverage, and experience in acute care.

WOCNCB certification is preferred. You will report to the Program Manager, Inpatient Wound Team, and contribute to quality improvement

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• WOCNCB accredited education program certification preferred.
• Exceptions to educational requirement will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients with complex wounds, ostomy care, and continence issues.
• Collaborates with health care team to develop and implement plans for skin integrity and ostomy care.
• Educates patients, families, and staff on wound and ostomy care.
