Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Wound Team at Hartford Hospital. This per diem role focuses on providing expert wound, ostomy, and continence care to patients with acute wounds and complex skin issues, within a major healthcare network.

The RN will collaborate with the care team, educate patients and families, document in the EMR, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Recent acute care experience preferred.
• Wound/Ostomy/Continence certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care to patients with acute and chronic wounds, ostomy care, and pressure ulcers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for skin integrity management.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on wound and skin care, ostomy care, and draining wounds.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
• Utilize evidence-based guidelines for cost-effective therapies and wound management.
• Participate in orientation, training, quality improvement activities, and policy development.
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
