Job summary

Sentara Health Plans seeks a Registered Nurse for onsite Inpatient Virtual Support at Sentara Independence in Virginia Beach, VA. The role uses telehealth to assist bedside nurses, handle admissions and discharges, and provide patient education from the Virtual Care hub.

This part-time evening shift (Second) requires an active RN license, BLS within 90 days, and acute care experience; Epic experience is preferred to enhance workflow and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• 5 years of recent acute care bedside nursing experience required; IMCU experience preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties via video call for admissions, discharges and patient teaching.
• Support bedside nurses to alleviate workload and improve patient flow.
• Coordinate medication reconciliation and ensure patient safety.
