Sentara Healthcare Inc in Virginia Beach is seeking Registered Nurses for the Innovative Inpatient Care Model in the Centralized Virtual Acute Care Department at Sentara Independence.

This is not remote; positions are located at Sentara Independence in Virginia Beach, VA. Virtual RNs support bedside teams via HIPAA-compliant video, handling admissions, discharges, patient teaching, and medication reconciliation to improve workflow and patient experience.

Qualifications

• RN with Associate's degree and compact multi-state license for VA/NC is required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Active RN license and BLS within 90 days.
• NIHSS and ACLS preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of recent acute care bedside nursing; IMCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties via video call including admissions and discharges.
• Provide patient teaching and medication reconciliation.
• Support bedside nurses to alleviate workload.
• Communicate with patients through HIPAA-compliant audio-visual device.
