Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Innovative Inpatient Care Model in the Centralized Virtual Acute Care Department in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a second-shift, on-site role supporting bedside staff via tele-nursing and video-based patient interactions.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with an Associate’s Degree (BSN/MSN preferred), BLS due within 90 days, and Epic experience is preferred. Five years acute care bedside nursing experience is required.

Qualifications

• RN license (Required)
• Associate degree in nursing (Required)
• BLS within 90 days of hire (Required)
• NIHSS and ACLS preferred
• 5 years of recent acute care bedside nursing experience required
• IMCU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Admissions, discharges and patient teaching via video calls
• Medication reconciliation and care coordination
• Support bedside nurses and improve workflow
• HIPAA-compliant communication via in-hospital video device

Education

RN-Associate’s Degree
