Credentialed technicians earn $27-$37/hr, non-credentialed $24-$32/hr, with full-time benefits and opportunities for CE access and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital.
• Prior emergency or specialty hospital experience preferred.
• Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) required.
• RECOVER CPR certification a plus.
• Proficiency with computers, electronic medical records, and data entry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency/critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for hospitalized patients per veterinarian evaluation and RBVH hospitalization levels.
• Assess patients and facilitate treatments under the supervising veterinarian.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, and assistants to perform diagnostics and treatment plans.
• Monitor patient status including vitals, mentation, and pain score.
• Perform nursing duties: phlebotomy, IV therapy, catheter care, medication administration, and recumbent care.
• Triage, sedation/anesthesia monitoring, and initiate CPR when needed.
